Geological Surveys

We offer comprehensive geological studies ranging from large-scale assessment of the hydrocarbon potential of geological structures through block-specific studies to help companies in pinpointing the best location for drilling.

The services also include delineation of ore bodies and estimation of the total extractable ore volume. Our geologists have considerable expertise in resource estimation for most ore bodies

● Surface and sub-surface structural studies

● Sedimentological and seismo-stratigraphic interpretation

● Resource Estimation:

  • Near mine exploration programme design and execution
  • Ore body targeting
  • 3D modelling
  • Resource scoping and prioritisation

Seabed Surveys

Safe and successful offshore operations rely on precise, assured and reliable data concerning surface and subsurface locations and status. This is especially true in harsh environments and challenging conditions.  Securing the right support services can make all the difference when dealing with project-critical time, cost and performance objectives.

We provide comprehensive offshore field and seabed survey services designed to meet broad and specific needs of our clients.

We carry out geomorphologic measurements of sea floors using acoustic imagery, magnetometry or shallow seismic records depending on the Client's specifications using state of the art side scan sonars, sea bottom profilers.

Our survey services include:

  • Provision of procedures
  • Pre-installation and as left surveys
  • Debris surveys
  • General visual inspections
  • Scour surveys
  • Seabed and depth surveys.

We  also provides the ROV’s in support of pipeline inspection surveys for detecting free-spans, damage and defects, leaks, cathodic erosion and pipeline movement. The ROV’s can be equipped with video cameras, acoustic scanning systems, CP probes and pipe-trackers to locate buried lines and pipelines. These service are provided both for the Oil and Gas sector as in support of the Offshore Wind industry.

● Seabed and sub-surface geotechnical assessments

● Pipeline Route Surveys

● Geohazard Surveys

● Risk Mitigation Analysis

● ROTV Pipeline Inspection

● Bathymetric charting of the sea floor for safety-critical and engineering applications

● Profiling shallow geologic features and structures

● Engineering studies and facilities design

Seismology and Engineering Seismology

Seismology is primarily an observational science. Strong-motion seismology is concerned with the measurement, interpretation, and estimation of strong shaking generated by potentially damaging earthquakes. The occurrence of large to strong earthquakes, which cause loss of life and property, makes one of the main goals of seismologists and earthquake engineers to estimate the expected ground motion in a low to very high seismicity zone. Ground shaking and its associated damage to structures can be strongly influenced not only by source and path effects, but also by surface and subsurface geological and topographical conditions in the vicinity, known as ‘local site effects’.

We offer several applications in Seismology, Engineering seismology, geotechnical engineering, and Earthquake risk management

Earthquake Hazard Analysis

Strong ground motion analysis

Near fault ground motion studies

Site effect estimation

Network design and monitoring

Reservoir triggered seismicity

Passive seismic

Microzonation study for urban area based on realistic ground motion estimation

Earthquake source study

Preparation and implementation of risk mitigation programs

Development and customization of new methods and technologies for risk estimation,

monitoring, and quick loss estimation

Providing risk mitigation solutions compatible with safe urban design and development;

Engineering Geophysics

Geophysical exploration techniques have numerous applications in geotechnical engineering. They can be used to determine the depth to and rip ability of bedrock, assess seismic hazards, measure earth conductivity etc. They can also be used to augment drilling programs by providing continuous subsurface information between boreholes and direct drilling programs by identifying anomalous areas for further drilling and/or sampling.

We offer several applications in geotechnical engineering for determination of the bedrock, assessing seismic hazards, measuring earth conductivity etc.

● Bed Rock study

● Dam and Tunnel survey

● Void Detection

● Ground Water Study

● Mine exploration

● Seismic Hazard Assessment

Earthquake Prediction

"Earthquake prediction "is usually defined as the specification of the time, location, and magnitude of a future earthquake within stated limits" and particularly of "the next strong earthquake to occur in a region."

To be useful, an earthquake prediction must be precise enough to warrant the cost of increased preparations, including disruption of ordinary activities and commerce, and timely enough that preparations can be taken. Predictions must also be reliable, as false alarms and cancelled alarms are economically costly and undermine confidence.

We offer a range of  technical and scientific studies and techniques to  provide our clients with the best  estimation of possible occurrence of earthquakes, their effect magnitude of, and ways of minimizing the loses.

  • Model Building
  • Basin Studies,Alluvial Dynamic Analysis
  •  Earthquake Scenarios & Analysis
